Roles and Permissions

Common questions about who can do what in Outreach.

What Roles Can Use Outreach?

Org Admins, Admins, and Campaigners can all access Outreach; all three can create, run, and monitor campaigns. Operations users cannot — Outreach is not visible in their sidebar at all.

What separates the three is configuration, not campaign work. The capability summary sets out every permission line by line.

What's the Difference Between Org Admin and Admin?

Configuration. An Org Admin owns everything that decides how messages can be sent: requesting and cancelling Outreach access, the Twilio and SendGrid credentials, the SMS sender strategy and available sender list, and verified domains and email senders.

An Admin sits one level below and runs the programme rather than the plumbing: campaigns, plus managing Campaigner users. Use the Admin role for a team lead who should own the campaigns programme without being able to change integrations or senders underneath it.

See Admin (within Outreach) for the full detail.

How Do I Add a Campaigner User?

Inviting users and assigning roles are platform features rather than Outreach ones, handled in the user management area of the NeonNow Admin app. Org Admins and Admins can both assign the Campaigner role there; only Org Admins can assign the Admin role.

Can a Campaigner Access Settings?

No. Settings is Org Admin only, so a campaigner cannot view or change API keys, the SMS sender strategy, domains, or senders — and neither can an Admin. If a delivery channel is missing or a campaign cannot be completed because of configuration, the fix has to come from an Org Admin.
